Ted Kennedy Toronto Maple Leafs Signed Framed 16x20 Fighting Gordie Howe Black and White Photo
This framed 16x20 black and white photo comes personally signed by Maple Leafs legend, Ted "Teeder" Kennedy. Kennedy was considered public enemy number one in Detroit. During the 1950 playoffs, a controversial incident occurred when Gordie Howe lined up Kennedy for a hit; Kennedy reportedly dodged at the last minute, causing Howe to fall headfirst into the boards, resulting in a serious head injury. This sparked significant controversy, with Detroit fans accusing Kennedy of butt-ending Howe, leading to the injury. The truth of what happened remains known only to Kennedy and Howe. This incident ignited a major rivalry between Detroit and Toronto, with Detroit ultimately winning both the series and the Stanley Cup that year while "Playing for Gordie Howe." This NHL & NHLPA licensed collectible includes a Frameworth hologram and Certificate of Authenticity to verify the signature's legitimacy. Finished Size: 32 x 26"
