Mondou was drafted 15th overall by the Montreal Canadiens in 1975, and played 548 games in the NHL, scoring 194 goals and 262 assists for 456 points before his career was cut short by an eye injury. Mondou played 9 NHL seasons all with the Canadiens and was apart of their Stanley Cup winning teams of 1977, 1978 and 1979.
