This framed jersey number comes personally autographed by Mike Modano. Mike Modano began his career in 1988 when the formerly named Minnesota North Stars (now relocated and named the Dallas Stars), drafted him first overall during the NHL Draft. Modano would spend all but one season with the Stars organization, retiring after his 2010-2011 season with the Detroit Red Wings. The 1989-1990 season would be Modano’s first season in the league. As a rookie, he had a phenomenal season, scoring 29 goals and 46 assists for a total of 75 points. Since his rookie season, he would continue to put up numbers. 16 of Modano’s illustrious 21 seasons in the NHL, he recorded over 50+ points. The 6’3 Centreman stunned the league with his 100 mph shot, making it look effortless every time. His rocket shot and ability to skate made his play and his teammates better. This significantly would help during the 1998-1999 season when he led the Stars to the organizations lone Stanley Cup victory in 1999. During the 1999 NHL playoffs Modano tallied 5 goals and 18 assists for a total of 23 points. The American born hockey player made American hockey history on November 7, 2007, as he scored twice for the Stars in the first five minutes of a game against the San Jose Sharks, becoming the leader in points among United States-born Players. In the same year on March 18, 2007; Modano scored his 503 goal to break Joe Mullen’s record for the most by United States-born players. Modano had the honour of representing the USA at the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympics, helping bring home a silver medal. His incredible 21 seasons in the NHL and play in the Olympics led him to be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2014. In the same year, the Dallas Stars retired his number 9, never to be worn again by a Stars player. Modano would be honoured 3 years later, as he was named one of the “Top 100 Players of All Time”, by the NHL during the 2017 NHL Centennial Season. This jersey is perfect for any Stars or hockey fan. It comes complete with a Frameworth hologram and COA to ensure the authenticity of the signature. Finished Size: 26x18
