This framed 20x29 canvas is an image of the lead singer Gordon Downie from the band The Tragically Hip, performing during one of his final shows with his band. The image features Gordon Downie with his hand on his heart, to express his gratitude to the fans who attended the show. This image would have been taken during one of their final shows they ever played. In 2016, The Tragically Hip went on their final tour entitled Man Machine Poem, hitting fifteen different cities across Canada. The tour was announced during May of 2016, following the announcement and diagnosis of lead singer Gordon Downie’s brain cancer. When the tour was created they ensured that a portion of the proceeds be donated to the Sunnybrook Foundation. As the tour approached its final show in Kingston, Ontario, the concert was broadcasted live across Canada to allow Canadians to experience and enjoy the concert from their living rooms. Gordon Downie was not only known for his time within the band, but was a true Canadian ambassador. Add a piece of Canadian pop-culture history to your collection. This image has been printed onto a high quality art canvas. The canvas is professionally stretched and mounted on to the back of a 1" deep wooden frame and then set in Frameworth's renowned float-style black framing. This item comes with a certificate of authenticity to prove it is an officially licensed The Tragically Hip collectible. Frameworth is the only official licensee of Tragically Hip framed collectibles. Frame Size: 22x31".
