THE BUDS IN BLUE ARE BACK IN TORONTO FOR GAME 5
William Nylander opened the scoring on a second period power play, and Mitch Marner (Frameworth Exclusive) had the game-winner in the third period. The Leafs dug in defensively and Magic Mitts Marner was able to find the back of the net with a late goal in the third period to give the Leafs 2-1 lead. As the clock ticked its final seconds, the Toronto Maple Leafs clinched victory, adjusting the series to 3-1. Marner was named the 1st Star of the Game followed by rookie Leafs goaltender Joseph Woll in 2nd, and Panthers' Sergei Bobrovsky in 3rd.

Wednesday’s result means that Marner, Matthews, Nylander and Rielly (Frameworth Exclusive) survived to see a 50th career playoff game on Friday. Only 39 others in Leafs franchise history have reached that mark.
