Wayne Gretzky Signed Framed St. Louis Blues Jersey

Wayne Gretzky Signed Framed St. Louis Blues Jersey

While most people can recall endless iconic moments when Wayne Gretzky skated for the Edmonton Oilers and Los Angeles Kings, many people often forget about Wayne Gretzky’s quick stint with the St. Louis Blues after being traded by the Kings halfway through the 1995-1996 season.

With Gretzky’s contract expiring, this deal allowed for the Kings to alleviate some financial burden while also allowing Wayne the opportunity to skate for a contender in hopes of winning a fifth career Stanley Cup title. Upon arrival, Gretzky was given the title of team captain for the Blues and made his presence felt immediately having tallied 37 points in 31 combined regular season and playoff games. Although their cup run fell just one game short of the Conference Finals, Gretzky’s time with the Blues proved that he was a once in a generation type player capable of manufacturing instant production out of himself and his teammates.
