Specifically, these gloves were worn by Crosby during the third period, overtime and shootout of twenty (20) games from Oct. 8, 2015 – Dec. 1, 2015 and have been definitively photo-matched to multiple games during that span. The gloves were then personally autographed by Sidney Crosby himself.
With these gloves, Sidney Crosby scored his second (Nov 4, 2015 @ Vancouver, 304th career) and third (Nov 19, 2015 vs. Colorado, 305th career) goals of the 2015-16 season and had three assists.
That 2015-16 season, Sidney Crosby captained the Pittsburgh Penguins to the fourth Stanley Cup championship in franchise history and also earned the Conn Smythe Trophy as the Most Valuable Player of the 2016 Stanley Cup Playoffs. Crosby's 36 goals, 85 points, and nine game-winning goals all led the Penguins during the regular season. He finished as the runner-up in voting for the Hart Trophy as the NHL's regular season Most Valuable Player and was selected as a First Team NHL All-Star.
