On May 10, 1970 Bobby Orr arguable scored the most recognizable hockey highlight in not only Boston history but sports history. Game 4 of the 1970 Stanley Cup playoffs the game headed to overtime. With only 40 seconds Orr received a pass from Derek Sanderson skated across the goalie crease and shot the puck in the net. Snapped by photographer Ray Lussier Bobby Orr is seen soaring through the air with happiness scoring the game winning goal, which led to Boston’s fourth Stanley Cup in franchise history and putting an end to a 29 year Stanley Cup drought. Notably in the Stanley Cup winning season Orr scored 33 goals and 87 assists for a total of 120 points, earning him the Hart Ross Trophy and the James Norris Memorial Trophy; as well as winning the Conn Smythe Trophy for tailing 9 goals and 11 assists for a total of 20 points.
